As well as the new features and improvements that are indicated explicitly in each CYPE software version update, these updates also include process optimisations which imply internal improvements of our programs. Systematic checks are carried out on all the programs in each revision, as well as changes which improve their operation. Therefore, we recommend all our users (in this case of the 2013 version) to always update their program version to the latest available version, regardless of the country CYPE software is being used for or the language in which the program is installed.
Before publishing the 2014.a version, the new features of which will soon be available (users will have to pay to update to this version unless they have a user contract in force with CYPE), we are first going to publish this 2013.p version, which incorporates the indicated optimisations of the internal processes. Users can update their software to the 2013.p version free of charge, as long as their user licences allow access to any of the 2013 versions (the first version, the 2013.a version, having been published on the 10th July 2012).
In previous versions, when users selected the Indian concrete code, IS 456: 2000, the punching shear and shear checks in footings were calculated in accordance with Eurocode 2. As of the 2013.p version, the checks are carried out in accordance with the Indian code, IS 456: 2000 (Indian Standard. Plain and reinforced concrete code of practice – Fourth Revision).
